State of the Lagoon 2026

May 7 6:00-8:00PM
Stinson Beach Community Center

Dear Community Members,

It's coming! The biennial (except for all those years of COVID) State of the Lagoon conference—an evening dedicated to the ecological health, ongoing restoration, and future resilience of the Bolinas Lagoon.

This gathering is a must-attend. It brings together local scientists, public agencies, and community partners to provide a comprehensive update on the vital work happening across the lagoon system. As our environment shifts, this is a unique opportunity to learn how the lagoon is changing and what proactive steps are being taken in response.

Conference Highlights:

  • How the Lagoon Changes: An exploration of the lagoon’s past and present, and a look at what the future holds for this dynamic ecosystem.

  • Highway 1 and the Lagoon: Insights into Caltrans’ coastal resiliency planning and infrastructure efforts.

  • Restoration Updates: Latest news on key projects, including restoration at the South End and the Bolinas Wye.

  • Wildlife of the Lagoon: Learn all about Bolinas Lagoon wildlife and critical conservation efforts.

The program will feature expert presentations followed by a tabling session, where you can meet directly with project teams and local organizations.

All are welcome! Refreshments will be served! Connect, learn, and discuss the future of our shared coastal resources at this inspiring event.

We look forward to seeing you there and sharing the progress being made to support the Bolinas Lagoon.

Best regards,

Jean Gould
